A short, kind truth
Parents are not difficult. Parents are anxious, busy, and trying to do right by their child. When a coach understands what they are actually listening for, the relationship becomes one of the easiest parts of running a solo practice.
The mistake most coaches make is sending parents more information than they want, in a tone that is harder to read than it needs to be. The fix is not silence. The fix is four small, specific things, said warmly, on a steady cadence.
