A player messages. A parent confirms. The club arranges the court. The lesson goes into your calendar. Most private tennis coaches do not need another booking marketplace for any of that.
Another Session begins at that point. It holds who the player is, what happened last time, what they are working on now, the next session, the note afterwards, their package, whether they have paid, and the history of the whole coaching relationship.

Before the lesson
Open the player before you walk on. The last session, the note you wrote after it, what they are currently working on, and when you next see them are all on the one screen. Start the session remembering what matters.
After the lesson
Wrap the session up while it is still fresh. Type the note or dictate it on the walk back to the car. The kind of thing a coach actually records: serve rhythm improved, forehand spacing still breaks down when rushed, backhand return to revisit next time, better in points than in drills.
The same moment is where you count the session against their package or mark it as paid.
Between lessons
Nothing is filed away. The note joins the player's history next to their earlier sessions, their current focus, the next lesson in the diary, how much of their package is left and what is still owed. Threads gives you a quiet read across the list when you open it, rather than a stream of alerts.

A player can work on the same second serve for a month. It improves in practice, disappears under pressure, then starts holding up in matches. Those four lessons mean far more when they stay connected than they do as four separate hours.

Coaching the player. Keeping the parent in the loop
In junior tennis, three people are usually involved: the player on court, the parent handling the messages, and whoever is paying for the block of lessons. Often the last two are the same person, and neither of them is the player.
A junior's profile can hold guardian contact details alongside the coaching record, so the history stays with the player while the practical conversation goes to the right adult. Packages and payments sit on the same profile.
When a parent asks how things are going, several weeks of your own session notes can be pulled together into a summary you read over, edit if you want to, and send. It is built from what you wrote, and nothing goes out without you.
Packages and payments without the spreadsheet
A player buys a block of ten. Seven have been used, three are left. That count lives on the player, updating as you complete sessions, so you know where the block stands before someone has to ask.
Payments work the same way. Each session or package carries a status, you mark what has been paid, and everything outstanding shows up in one list. Another Session does not take money on your behalf or watch your bank account, so nothing changes status behind your back.
When someone asks, how are they getting on

Is Another Session made for solo tennis coaches?
Yes. It is built for independent coaches who hold their own players, on club courts or freelance. One coach, their own recurring juniors and adults, their own notes, packages and payments. It is not a club system or an academy staff rota.
Is Another Session a tennis lesson booking system?
No. It is not a public self-booking platform and it does not book courts. Lessons usually get arranged by message, through a club or in your own calendar, and that can stay exactly as it is. Another Session holds everything around the booked lesson: the player, the history, the notes, the package and the payment.
Can I manage junior and adult players?
Yes. Juniors and adults sit in the same player list, each with their own profile, history and notes. A junior can carry a parent or guardian as the contact, while an adult is simply their own contact.
Can I keep notes on what each player is working on?
Yes. After a lesson you write a note against that session, by typing or dictating it. The note stays on the player, and the previous note and current focus are shown to you before the next session starts.
Can I manage tennis lesson packages?
Yes. You can set up a block of lessons, for example ten sessions, and each completed session counts against it, so you can see how many are left. Packages sit on the player alongside their sessions and notes.
Can I keep track of payments?
Yes. Each session or package carries a payment status, and you mark what has been paid. Outstanding amounts are listed in one place, so you can see who owes what without a spreadsheet. Another Session does not take card payments on your behalf or reconcile your bank account.
