Why packages are the most leaked money in a solo practice
Per session billing is easy. The session happens, the money lands, the next one books. Packages are different. The money lands once. The sessions burn down over weeks. Nobody is watching the meter, and the meter is where the leaks happen.
Almost every coach who sells packages has done at least one of the following. Run two free sessions because they lost count. Argued with a client about whether session nine was the eighth or the ninth. Refunded a half block because the records did not match. Forgotten to invoice the next block until three sessions in. None of that is a character flaw. It is just what happens when you try to track a moving number in your head.
The fix is small and boring. One number per client, updated after every session, visible before the next one starts.
