The difference is where each product sits in your week
Paperbell is at its most useful at the moment a visitor becomes a paying client. Another Session is at its most useful in the weeks after that.
Paperbell gives you a coaching site, package pages, a checkout, a contract and a booking link. Someone finds you, reads about the work, buys a block of sessions, signs, and books a time. That is a real job and it takes a real product.
Another Session picks the story up once that client is on your list. You open it before a session to remember what you worked on last time and what the client said they would practise. You check whether there are two sessions left on their block or none. You write the note in the ten minutes after they leave. You see that two people still owe for last month, and send a payment request. At the end of the month, you review a summary per client and send it to the ones who want it.
The two products overlap. Both hold client records, both know what a session and a package are, both have something called a client portal. They are not the same product, and Another Session is not claiming to replace the parts it does not have. There is no coaching website, no checkout, no contract signing and no self-booking in Another Session, and there is no plan to add a shop front.
So the honest question is not which tool is better. It is which half of the job you need help with. If clients already reach you, the sales half is solved and you are paying for it twice.

Another Session is not the same product for less money. It is cheaper because it solves a narrower part of the coaching workflow: the client work after the sale, rather than the website and checkout that lead up to it. If you need the sales side, Paperbell doing it in one place may well be worth $57 a month.

Client record
Every client has one page: contact details, their rate, the next session, the balance on their package and what is outstanding.
Session history and notes
Sessions sit in order under the client, each with the note you wrote afterwards. Before the next one, you read the last one.
Packages and payment tracking
Packages count down as you log sessions. Payments show as due or paid, and you can send a Stripe payment request from the same screen.
Monthly summaries and the client portal
A per client summary of the month you can review and send, and a private portal link the client opens without a password.
Moving from Paperbell
There is no automatic Paperbell import. In practice most coaches set up their active clients in an afternoon and leave the old history where it is.
Export what you can from Paperbell
Paperbell lets you export your client list, and your payment history is available in Stripe. Keep both files. They are your record of everything before the switch.
Add your active clients in Another Session
Clients are added one at a time: name, contact, rate and any package they are partway through. Another Session does not currently import a client CSV, so this part is manual. For a solo caseload it is usually twenty minutes.
Start with the clients you are coaching now
You do not need to recreate years of history. Add the people on this month's schedule, log sessions from the switch date, and let the record build forwards.
Keep old notes and contracts where they are
Signed contracts, forms and past invoices stay in Paperbell or your files. Nothing in Another Session depends on them, and you can keep the export as an archive.
Decide about your website separately
If your Paperbell site is how people find you, keep it or move it to a simple site of your own before you cancel. Another Session does not host a website.

Does Another Session include self-booking?
No. You add sessions yourself, either one at a time or as a repeating slot. Clients can see what is coming through their portal link, but they cannot book or reschedule themselves. If self-booking is essential, Paperbell or a dedicated scheduling tool is the better fit.
Can I use Another Session with my existing website or booking system?
Yes, and that is the usual setup. Keep your site, your Instagram profile or your existing booking link for how people find you and get in touch, and use Another Session for the clients once they are on your list. You can also subscribe to your Another Session calendar feed from Google, Apple or Outlook calendar so your sessions appear alongside everything else.
Can I move my clients from Paperbell to Another Session?
You can export your client list from Paperbell, but Another Session does not currently import a CSV, so clients are added by hand. Most coaches add the people they are actively coaching, note any part-used package, and start logging sessions from the switch date rather than recreating old history.
Can Paperbell and Another Session be used together?
Yes. Some coaches keep Paperbell for the website, checkout and contracts, and use Another Session for sessions, notes, packages and follow-up. That comes to $67 a month for both. There is no direct integration between them, so a new client is added in Another Session once, by hand.
