Best tennis coaching software for solo coaches

Six tools compared by the job each one does: Another Session keeps player notes, packages, payments and parent contact in one record; CoachCore handles online booking; TennisBiz runs terms and classes; SwingVision covers video.

The short answer for solo tennis coaches

The right tool depends on the job. Another Session is built around records for players who come back every week. CoachCore is built for new players booking themselves online. TennisBiz is built for coaches running terms and classes for many families.

  • Private players and their progress

Another Session, £8 a month or £80 a year, free for up to 3 clients.

  • An online booking site for new players

    CoachCore, from $39 a month.

  • Tennis-school customer administration

TennisBiz. Request a country-selected quote and demonstrate your terms and classes.

  • A simple booking link

Calendly, free or Standard at $10 per seat per month billed annually. Current documentation also lists prepaid meetings.

  • Appointments, intake forms and packages

Acuity Scheduling. Packages require Standard, $34 a month or $324 a year in USD.

  • Shot statistics and video on court

SwingVision, alongside any of the above.

How we compared the six tools

We judged each tool on the work a solo coach does every week: keeping a note on each player, tracking prepaid lesson packages, recording payments, keeping parents of junior players informed, and what it costs for 20 regular players. We read each vendor’s own website and pricing page on 1 November 2026. We did not run lab tests or invent scores.

We left out club and venue platforms such as ClubSpark and CourtReserve. They are built for clubs managing courts, members and court bookings. A coach who rents court time or works at a club usually does not choose that software.

Another Session publishes this comparison and is one of the six tools in it. Each review describes what the tool is built for and where it stops, using the vendor’s own documentation. For video, clubs and finding students, read our broader tennis apps comparison.

Another Session, for regular private players

Another Session starts with the record of each player: their lessons, notes, packages and payments in one place. You write a note from your phone after a lesson, and it is there before the next one.

Junior players can have a parent or guardian on their record, and you can send a monthly summary of their progress that you review before it goes. Small group lessons are one session with a separate charge for each player, at the group price you saved.

Automatic invoicing can send each client’s monthly invoice on a schedule, with a heads-up email two days before so you can skip anyone. If you connect your own Stripe account, clients can pay by card and the money goes straight to you.

What it does not do: there is no public booking page where players choose their own times, no court scheduling and no video analysis.

Price: free forever for up to 3 clients, with every feature. Complete has unlimited clients and the same features, at £8 a month or £80 a year in the UK. Every account starts with 30 days of unlimited clients, no card required. See the price in your currency.

Acuity Scheduling, appointment booking

Acuity lets clients choose appointment times, complete intake forms and pay through connected payment services. Standard adds packages, memberships, waitlists and SMS reminders.

Choose it when booking and prepaid appointments matter more than a tennis-specific player history. Its documented scheduling tools do not establish expense accounting.

Buying limitation: Packages require Standard or above. Tennis-specific court conflict rules were not verified.

Price: Starter $20/month or $192/year. Standard with packages $34/month or $324/year. USD, taxes extra.

Official evidence: Acuity Scheduling product documentation and pricing and plan details. Checked 1 November 2026. Evidence is vendor documentation, not independent hands-on testing.

CoachCore, coaching booking and packages

CoachCore’s Basic plan combines a branded website, lesson booking, packages, clinics, payments and student dashboards. Pro adds progress metrics, programs, video uploads and analysis.

Choose it when new players need to book and buy lessons online. For progress tools, compare the Pro price rather than assuming everything is included in Basic.

Buying limitation: Progress metrics and video features require Pro. Confirm promotional terms and processor costs.

Price: Basic $39/month; Pro $79/month. Standard advertised USD rates, promotional offers may differ.

TennisBiz, tennis-school administration

TennisBiz is aimed at tennis-school administration. Its official pricing uses active purchasing customers, includes unlimited staff logins and describes automatic upgrades between customer tiers.

Consider it for a business serving many families. Ask for a demonstration of terms, classes and make-ups, and a country-selected quote. We could not confirm every operational capability from the accessible documentation, so the table leaves those cells unverified.

Buying limitation: Regional and commitment-based prices differ. Ask for a country-selected quote rather than using a hidden price block.

SwingVision, tennis video analysis

SwingVision records and analyses tennis video. Developer documentation describes shot speed, depth and accuracy, rally statistics, highlights and line calling.

Choose it for on-court video review, alongside a booking or records tool if needed. Check device compatibility and the tier needed for your workflow. The US App Store prices below are not a worldwide web checkout quote.

Buying limitation: Check compatible devices, tier limits and line-calling requirements. Video analysis does not establish lesson administration.

What a week with 20 players involves

Take an example coach with 20 players. Twelve have a fixed weekly lesson. Five have bought a pack of ten lessons. Three are juniors whose parents pay at the end of each month. That makes roughly 15 to 20 lessons in a normal week.

The admin is the same every week. After each lesson you need a note on what you worked on. Each pack needs a count of lessons left, so you can ask for the next payment before it runs out. At the end of the month the three parents need a bill and, ideally, a few lines on how their child is getting on.

This is an imagined example. Another Session keeps notes, package balances and payments on the player record. CoachCore documents packages and booking; Acuity includes packages on Standard or above. Calendly now lists prepaid meetings too, so check plan details. Ask TennisBiz to demonstrate the workflows and regional price rather than assuming the tools are equivalent.

Test it with one player before you switch

Set up one fictional player with three past lessons, a package and a short note. Then do a normal week: move a lesson, write a note on your phone, record a payment and check what the player still owes. The tool that makes those jobs quickest is the right one, whatever its place in this list.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best tennis coaching software for a solo coach?

It depends on the job. For notes, packages, payments and parent contact on each player’s record, compare Another Session and CoachCore Pro. If players need to book themselves online, CoachCore, Acuity and Calendly document self-booking. If you run terms and classes for many families, look at TennisBiz.

Is there free tennis coaching software?

Another Session is free forever for up to 3 clients, with every feature included. Calendly also has a free plan, but only for scheduling. See Another Session’s plans.

Do solo tennis coaches need club software like ClubSpark or CourtReserve?

Usually not. Those platforms are built for clubs managing courts, members and court bookings. If you rent courts or coach at a club, the club runs that software. You need a record of your own players, their lessons and what they owe.

How should an independent tennis coach track prepaid lesson packages?

Record how many lessons each player bought, take one off each time a lesson is completed, and record the payment separately. Another Session does this on each player’s record. Our guide to tracking session packages explains it in more detail.

How do I keep parents of junior tennis players updated?

Send a short monthly note covering what their child worked on, what comes next and what is owed. In Another Session you can add a parent to a junior’s record and send a monthly summary that you review before it goes.

Can players book lessons themselves in Another Session?

No. Another Session has no public booking page. You arrange lessons with your players and record them. If self-booking matters to you, CoachCore or Calendly are built for it.

Does Another Session take a cut of lesson payments?

No. Card payments go through your own Stripe account and the money goes straight to you. Stripe charges its own processing fees.

Do I need video analysis software too?

Only if you want shot statistics or video review. SwingVision does that well and works alongside any of the back office tools in this guide.

Can I keep using my existing calendar and booking arrangements?

Yes. Another Session works alongside however players already reach you, whether that is messages, a booking link or a club diary. You can subscribe to your Another Session calendar feed from Google, Apple or Outlook calendar, so your lessons appear alongside everything else. That feed is one-way: it shows your sessions in your calendar, but it is not a two-way sync, and Another Session is not a player self-booking marketplace.

Can I move my existing player records into Another Session?

Yes. You can paste a list of names or import a CSV spreadsheet from the clients screen. The import brings over each player’s name, contact details, focus and notes, plus parent details for juniors, and you review everything before it is saved. It does not import past sessions, payments or package balances, so those start fresh in Another Session.
